Branch

Imagine a tree is like a big, tall person. Its trunk is its body, and its branches are like its arms! These arms grow out from the trunk and then get smaller and smaller, like fingers. They help the tree reach for sunshine and carry leaves, flowers, and yummy fruits. Some branches are super thick and strong, while others are thin and wiggly.

Branches grow on trees and bushes all over the world! You can find them in your backyard, in parks, and in big forests. They grow in warm places, cold places, and even in places that are super dry. Wherever there's a plant that needs to spread out and catch sunlight, you'll find branches reaching out.

Branches do so much for trees! They hold up all the leaves that make food from sunlight. They also give homes to birds and squirrels, who love to climb and build nests on them. Plus, branches help spread seeds so new trees can grow. Without branches, trees wouldn't be able to grow tall or make fruits for us to eat!

Branches can be really different sizes. Some are as thick as your leg, while others are as thin as a spaghetti noodle! Even the veins inside a leaf are like tiny, tiny branches, carrying water and food. So, whether it's a giant branch holding up a whole tree or a tiny vein in a leaf, they all help plants live and grow.
