Bonaventure

Imagine a very wise person from over 700 years ago! That was Bonaventure. He was born in Italy and became a super important leader in a group called the Franciscans.

He was so smart that people called him the 'Seraphic Doctor,' which is like a special nickname for someone who is incredibly wise and good. He helped lots of people understand big ideas and guided his religious group like a captain steers a ship.

Bonaventure lived a long, long time ago, back in the 1200s! He was born Giovanni di Fidanza, but everyone started calling him Bonaventure. He became a bishop, which is like a high-ranking leader in the church, and even a cardinal.

He was also the main leader for the Franciscans for a while. He was so respected that he was later made a saint, which means he was recognized for being exceptionally holy and good.
