Bataille de Verneuil (1424) Phase 3

Key Facts
Knights, Archers, and a Big Fight!
A long, long time ago, England and France were having a super long argument called the Hundred Years' War. It was like a really, really long playground disagreement! In 1424, their armies met near a town called Verneuil.
The English army had super skilled archers with longbows, and the French and Scottish armies had brave knights and even some super-fast horses called cavalry. They were ready for a huge showdown!
Arrows Fly and Swords Clash!
The battle started with a shower of arrows, like a super-fast rain of pointy things! Then, the fast horses charged, trying to break through the English lines. But the English soldiers were tough! They fought with swords and shields, clashing up close. Some of the English archers, who were hiding, jumped back into the fight to help their friends. It was a noisy, messy, and exciting battle!
Who Was the Champion?
In the end, the English army won the Battle of Verneuil! It was such a big win that they called it their 'second Agincourt,' which was another famous victory for them. Sadly, many brave soldiers from the French and Scottish sides were hurt or captured. The English commander was very happy with his soldiers, saying they lost hardly anyone!
Why This Battle Was a Big Deal
Winning the Battle of Verneuil helped the English keep control of a part of France called Normandy. It was like winning a really important game that helped them stay in charge of that area. It also meant that the Scottish army, which had fought bravely, wasn't as strong anymore in the big war. This battle showed how powerful the English archers and soldiers were!
