Where Did They Train?

Imagine a sunny place far away called Egypt! This is where the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, or ANZAC, first got together. It was like a big camp where soldiers from different places learned to work as a team. They were preparing for important missions, and Egypt was their starting point before heading to other exciting, but sometimes tough, places.

The Gallipoli Adventure!

One of the most famous adventures for the ANZAC was a place called Gallipoli. It was a tricky mission where soldiers had to land on a beach and climb up hills. It was very hard work, and many brave soldiers showed incredible courage. Even though it was difficult, the ANZAC spirit of working together shone brightly.

Friends From Far Away

The ANZAC wasn't just soldiers from Australia and New Zealand. Sometimes, soldiers from Britain and India joined them too! This meant they had to learn to understand each other and work together, even if they spoke different languages or came from different homes. It shows how important teamwork is, no matter where you're from.

What Does ANZAC Mean Today?

Even though the first ANZAC group was a long time ago, the name 'ANZAC' is still used today! It's a special way to remember the soldiers and to show that Australia and New Zealand are good friends who can work together. It's a reminder of their bravery and the strong bond between these two countries.
