Asma al-Assad was born in a busy city called London, in England. Her parents were from Syria, a country far away. She went to a great school there and studied computers and French! When she was 25, she married Bashar al-Assad, who became the president of Syria. She moved to Syria to be with him and became the First Lady. This means she was the wife of the country's leader.
Helping People in Syria
As the First Lady, Asma wanted to help people in Syria. She supported groups that worked to make things better for everyone, like helping with jobs and making communities stronger. She was interested in new ideas to help the country grow. It was like being a super-supporter for important projects that aimed to improve the lives of many people.
A Busy Life with Lots of Roles
Before becoming First Lady, Asma had a cool job in a bank where people invest money. She was even going to study more at a famous university called Harvard!
