Where Did They Start Their Big Adventure?

The All-India Muslim League began its journey in a place called Dacca, which is now in the country of Bangladesh. Think of it like starting a club in a special building! This club was formed a long, long time ago, in 1906.

Back then, India was a very big place, and many different groups of people lived there. The leaders of this new club wanted to make sure that the Muslim people in India had a way to share their ideas and be treated fairly.

Why Did They Form This League?

Sometimes, when big decisions are made, some people might feel like their ideas are being forgotten. That's what happened to some Muslim leaders. They saw that other groups were getting their voices heard, and they wanted to make sure their own community's needs were met too.

So, they decided to create a special group, like a team, to speak up for them. It was like forming a student council at school to talk to the principal about important things!

A Big Dream for a New Home

At first, the League hoped everyone could live together peacefully in India. But as time went on, they started to think about a different idea. They dreamed of a special place, a new country, just for Muslims.

This idea grew bigger and bigger, and it became known as the Pakistan Movement. It was a huge dream that eventually led to the creation of a new country called Pakistan in 1947, after the British left India.

What Happened to the League?

After Pakistan became its own country, the All-India Muslim League changed. In India, it stopped being a big group. But in Pakistan, a new group called the Pakistan Muslim League started.

Later, this group even split into smaller parties. Even today, there are groups that remember the Muslim League, with one still active in India and another revived in Bangladesh, though they are much smaller now.
