Alex Verdugo

Imagine a super-fast runner who can also hit a baseball really, really far! That's Alex Verdugo! He plays a game called baseball, where players try to hit a ball and run around bases.

Alex is an outfielder, which means he plays way out in the grassy part of the baseball field, catching fly balls and throwing them back to his teammates. He's played for some of the most famous baseball teams, like the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox. He’s like a superhero on the field!

Alex Verdugo wasn't always a famous baseball player. He started playing baseball when he was a kid, just like you might play sports. The Dodgers team saw how good he was and picked him to play for them when he was 18 years old.

That's like getting picked for the best team in your whole school! He played his first big professional game in 2017. Since then, he's moved to other amazing teams, always playing his best game.

Alex Verdugo is super exciting to watch because he's really good at hitting the ball and catching it. He can hit the ball so hard it flies way, way out of the stadium! He also plays for his country, Mexico, in a big baseball tournament called the World Baseball Classic.

This shows he loves baseball and wants to play his best for everyone. He’s a great example of working hard and following your dreams.

Alex Verdugo has played for a few different big baseball teams. He started with the Los Angeles Dodgers, then he moved to the Boston Red Sox, and more recently, he joined the New York Yankees. Each team is like a different adventure for him.

He also gets to represent Mexico in special baseball games, which is a huge honor. He’s always learning and getting better, showing us that practice makes perfect!
